2018 KiwiNet Awards - Thursday 5th July 2018, Auckland

The KiwiNet Awards is New Zealand’s platform for celebrating the transformation of science discoveries into commercial success. It’s often a labour of love representing years of work, but every day, passionate individuals are changing the way we live, creating exciting solutions to today’s challenges.

More people need to hear about what goes on behind the scenes in the labs and tech transfer offices of our Universities, CRIs and CREs and industry.

It’s time to celebrate your achievements and inspire others!

So, what’s in it for you?

Finalists receive:

  • A free 3 minute promo video showcasing your entry. These are made available to the finalists, to be used as they wish, after the Awards*
  • The opportunity to promote your entry and finalists status with the help of PR expert, Sandra Lukey, Shine Communications
  • Plenty of media coverage
  • A trophy and framed certificate recognising your achievement
  • Free entry to the official awards cocktail evening for you and three of your friends and colleagues, held on Thursday 5th July, 2018
  • A chance to be voted winner of the BNZ Supreme Award winner.

What’s the commitment?

  • Stage One entails completion of the entry form, which requires a A4 page about the person, collaboration or partnership entered. Download entry forms here. Any questions? Just ask us!
  • If selected as one of the 12 finalists, we’ll arrange to produce a 3 minute video about your entry – we come to you. This takes approximately 1.5hrs of time for two people that you choose to represent your entry in the film. For examples of the finished product, please review the videos of previous finalists and winners.
  • Stage Two requires the finalists to be in Auckland on Thursday 5th July 2018 to present for 10 minutes to the evaluation panel. The cocktail reception is held that night, so it’s a great day of sharing, networking and celebration for all involved.
