Applying for Emerging Innovator Programme

Nomination & selection process

To join the Emerging Innovator Programme, researchers must be nominated by the Tech Transfer Office (TTO) or commercialisation team within their university or research organisation.

Nominations are reviewed at an Emerging Innovator Committee meeting, where applicants deliver a 5-minute pitch followed by a Q&A session with the committee.

These meetings are held the day before select KiwiNet Investment Committee meetings. Funding decisions are made at the Investment Committee the following day.
