Trans-Tasman Pre-Accelerator Programme - Rewa

March to May 2020 - A KiwiNet initiative, proudly supported by SfTI

The inaugural Rewa Pre-Accelerator has taken flight!

Are you working on the Next Big Thing and want to fast-track your progress? Does your research breakthrough need help to reach its potential? This is your chance to be a part of an exciting Pre-Accelerator that can help to advance your early-stage ideas through mentorship, skills-building, overseas connections, and market insights.

But it’s also much more than that. This is where big ideas grow towards big impact.

If you’re working on some promising research and are trying to establish a real-world application for it, this is the programme for you.

There are only a small number of places available!
Applications close in February 2021.

This programme is the first of its kind in New Zealand. It’s unique because:

  • Your IP remains yours. We do not take any equity position in the teams or IP as part of this programme
  • It provides Trans-Tasman opportunities. You will build key connections with industry, government and not-for-profits in NZ, Australia and globally.
  • Mentorship is at the forefront. You will be matched with experienced mentors from both NZ and Australia, who will work with you throughout the programme.
  • Personal development is just as important as idea development. You will develop personal skills in team building, collaboration, presenting, and storytelling, alongside market analysis and business creation.
  • You will know where to go next. Each participant will identify where they are on their impact journey, explore potential pathways to impact, and learn what’s required next to move forward. You will even be supported in pitching to KiwiNet for funding, if you want.

This is an 11 week-long programme that requires teams to commit to:

  • Eight residential days in total, plus
  • Thirty hours per team member over the eleven weeks

The commitment required reflects the invaluable experience and opportunities this course provides.
