Waste material is treated in an anaerobic process that significantly reduces their solid content prior to entering a hydrothermal oxidation phase where high pressure, temperature and oxygen are used to further break down the material to and small organic molecules and recoverable N & P.

Objective

Scion is seeking investors and/or partners interested in the existing technology applications or in developing it for other applications.

  • Reduces waste disposal costs, >95% reduction in waste volume.
  • Destroys harmful constituents including organic toxicants and pathogens
  • Allows for the recovery of valuable platform chemicals rather than converting everything through to CO2.
