KiwiNet have developed an online Innovation Database that includes new inventions, intellectual property (IP), researcher capability and commercial expertise from across New Zealand research organisations. The KiwiNet Innovation Database aims to facilitate collaborations between complementary technologies and increase investor and industry connections by showcasing the commercialisation capability and distinctive portfolio of innovations New Zealand has to offer.
The objectives of this database are to generate introductions that lead to opportunities such as:
 |
- Investor & industry connections - Identify investors and industry who are interested in licencing, purchasing or collaborating on different technologies, or simply providing valuable feedback on market needs.
- Project collaboration - Identify opportunities for research organisations nationally and internationally to combine complementary technologies to create more valuable investment propositions.
- Expert support - Identifying experts from different organisations who can provide valuable expert advice on technical, commercial and market issues relating to the technology.

A list of projects in the database can be found in the Our Technologies PDF below (Please note: the online database will be more up-to-date than the PDF). The database will also soon be uploaded to international portals such as iBridge
